Meet the winemaker

This is our Big Boy Cab. An NDA wine that was made by a group of cult winemakers in what is quickly becoming our favorite region to make Cabernet Sauvignon in the US. These guys and gals (yes, the head winemaker is a she) specialize in what is presumptuously called “Bordeaux Blends,” which is wine-nerd speak for a blend of Cabernet and Merlot. Cab and Merlot are like peanut butter and jelly. Great on their own, but best when blended. The Cabernet brings power and structure, whereas the Merlot makes everything a little more lush and sexy. Making wine is actually very similar to cooking - half the time you’re just trying to figure out what’s missing. And the people that made this wine are master chefs. When I shove my face in a glass of this, I get it all: cocoa, cedar, black plums, and maybe even a little bit of black olive (but in a totally delicious way). This is also a super exciting wine because of how it was farmed - Organically and Biodynamically, then vinified with minimal intervention. What does this mean? No extra crap in your wine. Just beautiful, powerful juice.

Product details

Tastes like

On the nose: black plum, cassis, cocoa powder, cedar shavings, and a savory flicker of black olive. Subtle graphite and baking spice in the background.

On the palate: Cabernet lays down the bones—powerful tannin, firm structure, and a long, dry backbone. Merlot folds in lushness and silk, smoothing the edges with ripe blackberry and dark cherry. Full-bodied but balanced, with earthy undertones and a clean, persistent finish.

Organically and biodynamically farmed, vinified with minimal intervention—meaning nothing in your glass but vineyard, fruit, and intent.

Drink this with
  • The friend who only orders steaks “still mooing.”
  • someone who swears they hate Cab until this one shuts them up
  • The bad decisions you're already making in your head
the perfect wine for
  • a jazz club, where you pretend to understand jazz

FAQ

Here are some of the most common questions we get from our customers.
Reach out to us at hey@bruno.wine if you didn't find an answer

What makes Bruno different from other wine shops?

We’re scrappy, independent, and fiercely quality-focused. No boring bottles. No bloated markups. Just small-batch wines we actually drink, packed by a team that hustles hard to make sure you get a damn good experience.

When will my order ship?

Orders typically ship within 2–3 business days. We're a small team and we pack each bottle with care (because they're glass and deserve respect). Around busy drops, it may take a bit longer, but we always work overtime to get your wine to you fast.

How do I track my order?

Once your order ships, you’ll get an email with a tracking link. You can also check your order status anytime by logging into your Bruno account.

Can I change my shipping address after placing the order?

If your order hasn't shipped yet, yes. If it has, we can't reroute packages once they’re in UPS’s hands. Reach out ASAP and we’ll do our best.

Do you offer returns or exchanges?

Because we sell alcohol, we legally can't accept returns. But if something went wrong with your order, we have a Money-Back Guarantee that covers one bottle. Just reach out and we'll make it right.
